Vegetable Meatballs for Kids
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of minced meat (beef or lamb)
- 1 medium carrot (grated)
- 1 medium zucchini (grated)
- 1 small onion (grated)
- 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
Instructions:
Prepare the Vegetables:
- Grate the carrot and zucchini. Grate the onion and squeeze out excess juice. Crush the garlic.
Make the Meatball Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, grated carrot, zucchini, onion, and garlic.
- Add the bread crumbs, egg, milk, and finely chopped parsley.
- Season with salt, black pepper, cumin, and sweet paprika. Mix everything well until fully combined.
Shape the Meatballs:
- After mixing, form small balls or round meatball shapes with the mixture.
Cook the Meatballs:
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Place the meatballs in the pan and cook them until they are nicely browned on all sides.
- Ensure the meatballs are cooked through.
Serve:
- Serve the meatballs hot with a side of creamy yogurt and vegetable rice.
