Vegetable Meatballs for Kids

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of minced meat (beef or lamb)
  • 1 medium carrot (grated)
  • 1 medium zucchini (grated)
  • 1 small onion (grated)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:

    • Grate the carrot and zucchini. Grate the onion and squeeze out excess juice. Crush the garlic.
  2. Make the Meatball Mixture:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, grated carrot, zucchini, onion, and garlic.
    • Add the bread crumbs, egg, milk, and finely chopped parsley.
    • Season with salt, black pepper, cumin, and sweet paprika. Mix everything well until fully combined.
  3. Shape the Meatballs:

    • After mixing, form small balls or round meatball shapes with the mixture.
  4. Cook the Meatballs:

    • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
    • Place the meatballs in the pan and cook them until they are nicely browned on all sides.
    • Ensure the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. Serve:

    • Serve the meatballs hot with a side of creamy yogurt and vegetable rice.
