Fruit Yogurt Parfait
Ingredients:
- 2 cups yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 cup granola or muesli
- 1 cup seasonal fruits (strawberries, bananas, blueberries, kiwi, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
- A few fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Yogurt: Place the yogurt in a bowl and stir in the honey until well mixed. Honey adds a bit of sweetness to the yogurt, but it is optional.
Prepare the Fruits: Wash and cut the fruits into small pieces. Kids can help with cutting the fruits, making it both fun and educational (under supervision for safety).
Layer the Parfait: Take a serving glass or bowl. Start with a layer of yogurt. Add a layer of granola or muesli on top. Then, add a layer of chopped fruits. Repeat the layers as desired.
Finishing Touches: Sprinkle chia seeds on top of the parfait and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Serve: Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for a while before serving. Kids can decorate their own parfaits and add layers as they like, encouraging their creativity.
Notes:
- This recipe is packed with nutritious elements like yogurt and fruits. Granola or muesli adds fiber and energy.
- You can change the fruits according to the season.
- If kids like nuts or dried fruits, you can substitute granola with these additions.
Enjoy your healthy and fun parfait! This delightful recipe will help kids enjoy a tasty and nutritious snack.
